The Combo includes many of the same smarts that the J7 Plus includes, such as an the onboard acoustic sensor for determining the floor type and AI-powered Navigation, but it doesn't have the ability to set suction power by hand. It's also less compact than its vac-only counterpart, and it doesn't have a self-empty dock.
The Combo is one of my favorite options for most homes. Its elegant design is also among the most attractive I've seen in the industry. The sleek, matte black plastic looks superior to the competition's glossy or metallic finishes, and iRobot's small features--like a leather tab that can open the onboard bin and a shelf inside the dock to hold extra bags--are classier than a lot of its rivals'. The iRobot Combo also allows you to easily create maps of your home, as well as to create Keep-Out Zones, No-Mop Zones, and Clean Zones.
